Good Morning! Last night was a milestone - Leah and Micah slept through the 3am feeding!!! Jon fed them a little late for the midnight feeding and dreamed that he had fed them at 3 am! I didn't hear them complaining until 5 am - that means they weren't hungry until then since I hear every noise they make (thus the exhaustion!). When they did complain loudly I poked Jon to make sure he fed them at 3. He said he did. I gave them pacifiers and went back to bed. When they were still complaining at 5:30 I asked Jon again if he fed them full bottles at 3 and he said yes. Well, they were getting more and more upset at that point so I got up and prepared their bottles. At ten to 6 I started feeding Micah, then followed up with Leah. By 6:35 I was done feeding both! That was a serious record feeding time! While I was feeding Micah, Jon woke up fully and realized that he was so tired that he had in fact dreamed that he fed them at 3 am and had not actually done it, but it was fine since they didn't complain for another two hours past that. Tonight we will try to omit that feeding again and give the 6am feeding a little earlier to see if we can make it for five hours!!!
I don't have weights for Leah and Micah yet. We tried to use the scale, but apparently a certain BBB must have been playing with it because the battery died! We will replace it today and try to use it again later on. They are both doing well though.
I called about Golda this morning and got the good news that they are trialling her off her CPAP once again. She is breathing room air and so far so good. Her blood oxygen levels haven't dipped below 95% at all and she hasn't had any episodes for the last few days. They are routinely suctioning her which has really helped and will be watching her closely for any signs that she might be getting tired from the effort of breathing off the CPAP. If there are any, she will of course be put back on it, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. She is staying at 27 ml breast milk and has gained some weight - she is now 1417 g (3 lbs. 1.98 oz.).
Okay, I have to get moving now! Off to the hospital, then to buy a costume for Harry for Halloween!
